Derek J. Anderson

Derek is a third year law student who will be joining the firm for his articles upon graduation in 2008.  He currently conducts research for the firm and assists in various other manners.

He graduated with an honours bachelor degree and a regular master ’ s degree from Acadia University, and won the University Medal for top student along the way.  In law school, Derek has been active with Student Legal Services, with which he has run a number of trials.  He has also been active in a number of other law school venues, including the Law Show and the Canons of Construction law student newspaper. 

Prior to entering law, Derek spent the better part of a decade in Asia working as a university professor and program administrator, as well as filling in time with freelance journalism.  He has written pieces for a number of South Korean and Canadian periodicals, and for a time wrote a regular column for the CBC News website on South Korean issues.
