Gloria M. Grieco

Gloria graduated from the University of Alberta Law School in 1999, articling with us until her call to the Bar in 2000 when she became an associate with the firm. In 2006 she accepted a partnership in the firm.

Gloria has served on numerous professional boards and community committees, including the Regional Legal Aid Appeals Committee, the Inter-Agency Youth Services executive, and various community leagues and school councils. She retains a strong connection with the Elizabeth Fry Society of Edmonton, a non-profit organization assisting persons in conflict with the law. She was the founder and co-ordinator of the Elizabeth Fry Society’s youth court program in 1990, joined the board of directors of the Elizabeth Fry Society in 2000 and served as its president in 2002. Gloria also volunteers with the Society’s Legal Clinic program operating out of the Edmonton Institution for Women. She is an active member of the Edmonton, Alberta and Canadian Bar associations, Criminal Trial Lawyers Association and Amnesty International.

Gloria is a passionate defender of civil liberties and possesses a strong interest in all Charter of Rights litigation. Defence of youth under the Youth Criminal Justice Act forms a significant part of her practice and is the firm's "go to" person for all questions pertaining to that highly complex legal area.
