Mona lectures regularly for continuing legal education programs for lawyers, judges and police. She teaches Advocacy as a sessional instructor at the University of Alberta Law School, and has previously taught Professional Responsibility and Advanced Criminal Law. She served for approximately 15 years as a member of the Faculty of the Federation of Canadian Law Societies, National Criminal Law Program. She has produced numerous criminal law papers over the course of her career. Mona is a co-author of two criminal law text books,The Trial of Sexual Offences (2010), and Witness Preparation, Presentation, and Assessment (2023).
Mona’s practice and experience spans the entire spectrum of criminal defence and related administrative law, including:
